Brunswick, Mornington Peninsula & Mitchelton Winery Weekend
Let's Celebrate Our Fabulous State
Spring has sprung! The days are getting longer and warmer as we experience some beautiful sunny days. Hopefully before too long, we can start to enjoy those longer days and even the odd weekend away from home! We know it hasn’t been easy for many Victorian businesses, so this week, we thought we would celebrate our state and highlight a few of our favourite’s, whilst we share a few of our own local travel experiences. Emma spices up the Mornington Peninsula, Jedda showcases the new Mitchelton hotel on their winery in Nagambie, and Jacqueline lets you in on a little secret tour so close to home in Sydney Road and Lygon St Brunswick.

A shout out to a fantastic organisation who’s innovative idea has helped so many bushfire affected businesses. Empty Esky, will inspire you to jump in the car and support a regional business when you can, in the meantime Click for Vic, will connect you with many fantastic Victorian businesses who could do with your support right now. Please remember we are here, working from home but ready to chat about and organise your next trip. We have spent months researching and discovering so many of the hidden gems and wonderful experiences on offer here in Victoria and the rest of our beautiful country. So chat to us soon.

Spice Up Your Mornington Peninsula Weekend
Looking for something a little unique for your next wine tour? Then head to the Mornington Peninsula. Famous for its vineyards, the region is creating a name for itself with craft breweries, cider makers and distilleries. Bass and Flinders established in 2009 on a local property in Red Hill, is known to be one of the few distilleries to produce their own base spirit (from local Shiraz and Chardonnay grapes) creating a unique flavour profile through their product range. Think You Know Brunswick?
I am so full I could burst. We have just waddled out of our last food stop on a walking food tour of Sydney Road & Lygon Street in Brunswick with Rafaella from Flavourhood Tours.  What a great way to spend a sunny afternoon in Melbourne. We started our tour on Sydney Road. Rafaella introduced herself and explained that we will be experiencing some amazing tastes, smells and cuisines as we walk the streets of bustling Brunswick. Find out where we went in Jacqueline's account below.

Weekend of Luxury in Victoria’s Goulburn Valley
Back in January, I had a lovely girl’s weekend away at the Mitchelton Hotel in the picturesque Goulbourn Valley.  We ate, drank, and even indulged in a massage! The Mitchelton Hotel only opened in 2018 and has been built on the grounds of the famous Mitchelton Vineyard, which is in Nagambie, right on the banks of the Goulbourn river.  And the best part is that it is only a 90-minute drive from Melbourne.  Just perfect for a quick weekend away! Get Jedda's getaway tips below.
